A Budget Impact App for a medical device company

A medical device company asked Modelate to create a Vablet app which its sales teams could use in dialogues with stakeholders – pharmacists, clinicians, and C-suite decision makers. The purpose of the app was to demonstrate the budget impact of converting to an alternative drug delivery system in a hospital setting.

Vablet has an explicit platform requirement. The Vablet app can be rapidly developed in HTML5 and very easily updated as new product evidence came out.

Due to privacy reasons, we have anonymised all the labels and graphics in this application. Some medication names are pure fiction and may not make any sense to you.

Make the conversion easy
Customer’s goal was to encourage the stakeholder to convert to the new delivery system. Therefore, we made it simple to model the current and future (after conversion) usage of delivery systems in the hospital. User did this by playing with an interactive slider.

Referenced and modifiable assumptions
Referenced and modifiable assumptions
As the model was based on a number of assumptions, we made it easy for the representative to demonstrate the source of the assumption and modify it on stakeholder’s request.

Clear budget impact
We have organised and visualised the results in such way that let stakeholder understand the budget impact at a single glance.

Leave piece
Field team was excited about the “leave piece” feature. They could select the data sections that were most relevant to the stakeholder and send the data as a nicely organised pdf file per email from their iPad directly.
